Semper Tek teams up with 91.7 The Wind to Honor Veterans

Semper Tek takes Veterans Day very seriously. As a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business we understand the sacrifices made by our Service men and women.  Our firm is fortunate to be able to perform numerous contruction projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs which allows us to continually serve and honor Veterans across the southeastern region of the US by improving or building new facilities used by Veterans.

This Veterans Day, Semper Tek, Inc. has teamed up with Lexington Radio station 91.7, The Wind to celebrate and honor Veterans. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for all Veterans and their families. Without these brave men and women our lives and our Country would be much different. Semper Tek, Inc. would like to congratulate F. Jason Brinkmoeller, Senior Vice President, on the renewal of his logo-chc-224x200Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE).  Mr. Brinkmoeller is one of only five people in the state of Kentucky, and the only employee of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to hold this prestigious healthcare construction certification. Mr. Brinkmoeller’s certification is now valid until October 2020.

Semper Tek, Inc. routinely performs healthcare construction projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Semper Tek, Inc. awarded Robins AFB CEMACC

Semper Tek, Inc. is excited to announce its award on the Robins Air Force Base Civil Engineering Multiple Award Construction Contract (CEMACC), solicitation number F8501-17-R-0001.

For the design components of this contract, Semper Tek, Inc. has partnered with Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, & Cannon, Inc. (BWSC). Barge Waggoner is a multidisciplinary engineering and architectural services firm. BWSC and Semper Tek’s staff have enjoyed a very successful history collaborating on many challenging projects for the federal government. BWSC is Semper Tek, Inc.’s design partner for the Moody Air Force Base MACC and provided the design for the Repair SCIFs project (FA4830-14-D-0003, TO: 2002). Barge Waggoner also worked with our firm on Robins AFB on the 554 parking lot project (W912QR-14-D-0023).

The contract will be primarily supported and executed out of our growing SE Division office in Valdosta, GA.  Santiago Iturralde, SE Vice President is building an excellent team. Recently Mr. Bill Daugherty was brought on as Project Manager. Mr. Daugherty has previously worked closely with Semper Tek’s Jason Brinkmoeller and David Dierson on the Renovate FGC Building 554 and Parking Lot projects at Robins AFB.  Bill brings significant experience in the Government contracting market, as well as knowledge of the commercial, institutional, and residential building markets.

Additionally, Mr. Wayne Suggs and Mr. Butch Merritt are the dedicated SE Division Superintendent/QC/SSHO field managers. These two gentleman offer a combined more than 75 years of construction management experience.  They have spent the majority of their careers working on military installations within the Georgia and North Florida area. They are excellent assets to our firm and will be outstanding leaders in the field on all resultant task orders from the Robins CEMACC.

Semper Tek, Inc. is unique in the small business arena due to the number of Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) that it receives.  These multi-year option contracts are difficult to obtain and require significant coordination, manpower, and management due to the simultaneous task order nature of the contracts.  Semper Tek, Inc. is currently an awardee on eight (8) MATOC contracts.  Our firm is also a member of a Joint Venture, RDT – Semper Tek JV, LLC, which is also an awardee on three MATOC contracts. Celebrating Nine Years in Business

Semper Tek, Inc. celebrates its nine-year anniversary as a company this month. It’s hard to believe that so much time has already passed, but at the same time, it feels like we’ve only just begun.9674_9years400

Much has changed since we started as a one-man firm in July 2008. We now have 36 employees and a southeast division office operating in Valdosta, Ga. Since 2008, our firm has been awarded 318 individual contracts and task orders valued at more than 81 million dollars. One of our greatest achievements is having performed this work with zero lost time accidents and maintaining our #1 priority of making sure that each employee goes home safely to their families when the work is complete.

Through the years we have seen dramatic economic and political changes. Through both hard times and good times, we have remained focused on striving to provide our clients with outstanding construction services delivered with honesty and integrity.

Our firm has had the pleasure of being a part of so many incredible projects in our first nine years. We are most proud of those projects that we have done that support our active duty military personnel and veterans. Being a contractor that exclusively serves federal government agencies has proven to be a very rewarding venture. It is an honor to partner with our government clients to improve VA hospitals, office facilities on Military bases, federal infrastructure and much more.

None of what our firm has accomplished in our first nine years could have been done without the hard work and dedication of the people who work for Semper Tek, Inc. each day. Our firm has been blessed with some of the most reliable, steadfast, honest, and capable employees, both in our office and in the field. The talent that we have attracted is second to none and is why we have been so successful at providing our clients with excellent customer service, on-time and in-budget project delivery, and a high-quality finished product. Our employees are some of the best in the business and are the greatest asset we possess as a company.

As we enter into our final year of our first decade as a company, we want to celebrate all that we have accomplished thus far and dream and plan BIG for the future. With accolades in our cap such as the 2016 Kentucky SBA Veteran Owned Small Business of the Year award, and countless, exceptional performance ratings, letters of commendation, testimonials, and repeat clients, we have a lot to live up to in order to make it better. We are confident in our ability to do so though. Knowing this team, we won’t stop until we’ve achieved even greater accomplishments in the coming years.

To all of our clients, subcontractors, employees, families, and friends – thank you for being a part of our first nine years.

To the Semper Tek, Inc. Team – Let’s spend the next 12 months being even better to cap off our first decade and plan for an even brighter future, a safe work environment and continued success!
