Objective/Purpose

Semper Tek, Inc.’s Administrative Assistant is responsible for various clerical tasks, providing support to our managers and employees, and assisting in daily office needs.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Answering and directing telephone calls and visitors
  • Maintain organized project files and records, both physical and digital
  • Administrative support tasks such as scanning, sorting, filing, and data entry
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain and create various spreadsheets, memos, and reports when needed
  • Handle office supplies, inventory and procurement
  • Maintenance of office equipment such as copy machines, postage machine, etc.
  • Running errands as necessary
  • Sage Paperless/Accounts Payable Support
  • Additional clerical duties as assigned

Skills Required

  • High School Diploma and related field or equivalent work experience as an office assistant in a small business setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers, postage machine, fax
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Self Starter

Skills Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience

Physical Qualifications

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for long periods of time
  • Light to medium work that includes moving objects between 20-50 pounds
  • Communicate with others to exchange information
  • Repeating motions may may include wrist, hands, and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls

Terms and Conditions

Exemption Status: Exempt

This is a non-supervisory position. Work location is in the Lexington, KY corporate office. The position is full time Monday-Friday.
